glock 26 how many rounds

Glock 26 How Many Rounds - No matter where you are in the world, the Glock is the most recognizable of the semi-automatic pistols.

However, many new enthusiasts find it difficult to choose between so many good weapons.

Glock has two great options in their G26 and G43 kits. However, since they are similar, it may still be difficult for you to decide. This is why I decided to compare and review the two guns.

Glock 26: Why The 'baby' Glock Is Several Guns In One

I'll be looking at accuracy and reliability as well as the look and feel of both guns.

So let's see what these guns have to offer. But before we do, I want to talk about the history of the company to explain how our two options were.

In the 1980s, the Austrian army wanted to replace World War II weapons with new ones. They wanted the new weapon to have removable and adjustable parts that were easy and convenient to disassemble and clean. So an engineer named Gaston Glock started working on polymer based weapons.

This Austrian army staple, and polymer casings designed by Glock, are now some of the hallmarks of Glock pistols. After the Austrian military adopted the Glock design, military and law enforcement agencies around the world followed suit. Due to Glock pistols' excellent performance in safety and performance studies, they soon gained popularity as personal weapons.

Do Glocks Have Safeties?

The polymer coating makes Glock pistols durable and attractive to this day. Additionally, since polymers are not as heavy as machine guns, Glocks are also much lighter and easier to transport.

Added convenience isn't the only benefit to concealed carry, though. This allows us to handle the gun better and get better shots.

Now that we know a bit about Glocks in general, let's see how the Glock 26 compares to the newer 43 models. Before we begin, it's worth noting that both the 26 and 43 models are part of a series of handguns commonly known as "baby Glocks."

In fact, in 1994, the Glock 26 was the first model. Since then, the rifle has undergone many iterations and is now in its fifth generation.

As the name suggests, baby Glocks are small. This makes them a very good concealed weapon as they are both 6 inches long, 4 inches tall and an inch wide.

Also, both can hold 9mm rounds and 19mm cartridge cases. However, the 43 is slightly smaller and lighter overall.

Without the magazine, the 26 weighs about 20 ounces, while the 43 weighs just over 16. With full magazines, they weigh 26 and 21 ounces, respectively.

Because of the size difference, some people may find that the 43 is better for concealed carry than the 26. In my opinion, though, the difference is undeniable, as it and you can carry both guns well. In fact, a large 26 is better than a 43 in many ways.

Most importantly, the 26 can hold more rounds than the 43. While small guns have room for 6 bullets and a magazine in a barrel, the 26 has a magazine capacity of 10 + 1.

26 may also use a double magazine type, which may allow for a higher magazine capacity. So, according to Glock's website, the 26 can have a magazine capacity of up to 33 rounds. But, let me tell you, those extra bullets can suddenly make a big difference.

Both Glocks look like very good guns. So, in this point of comparison, I find myself leaning towards the Glock 26 with its greater capacity. Let's see if seeing the other features will change my mind.

So, how to handle the Glock 26 and 43? Well, with small guns, sometimes there are opportunities. However, that doesn't mean guns can't be controlled.

Maintaining Your Glock

Due to the height of both guns, they are not comfortable to hold. In fact, even though the 43 is actually slightly longer than the original Baby Glock, it still doesn't fit well in an adult's hand. Still, having an extended magazine would help with that – though it would also take away part of what makes these Glocks perfect concealed carry weapons.

Both guns feature the Safe Action Glock firing system. The pistol system has three automatic safeties including trigger, trigger and safety. These features provide stability when you pull the trigger repeatedly.

With proper maintenance, both guns will retain Glock's legendary longevity. As the Austrian military intended them to be, Glock pistols are still easy to assemble and maintain.

So, since all Glocks are pretty much the same in terms of accuracy and performance, there isn't much more to say about the performance of the 26 and 43. Basically, both will do well, even if the gun length is shorter. Some are addicted.

Finally, we can spend some time talking about the price of each gun. Basically, the Glock 26 costs about $100 more than the 43, at about $610. That means the Glock 43 comes in at around $520.

However, I think both of these guns are available for less if you shop around and need the money. Still, I'm not sure if price should be part of this decision.

After all, can we add safety standards? Considering the huge magazine capacity of the 26, should we run the risk of running out at an unnecessary time?

It is not clear to me. But, ultimately, it will be a matter of personal preference. Of course, a smaller magazine might be better if you don't expect to shoot often. Or if you shoot for practice at the shooting range and have time to pull out a magazine.

Ultimately, this choice will be left up to individual buyers. As always, it is important to consider all aspects of a gun before purchasing. Consider what you want in a gun and go from there.

If you want a concealed carry weapon for everyday comfort, either of these two baby Glocks will do. Both are very nice, although the 43 is technically smaller. If you're one of those people who likes to keep their gun in their pocket, these guns can do the job.

I mean, there are smaller ones on the market, but if you want a fully loaded model like a Glock, you have to narrow your choices down to these two. If you're happy with a small automatic pistol that only holds 6+1, go for the 43.

However, if you find you need a larger magazine, the 26 is more than enough. And you will be able to adjust magazine permissions But, like I said - the final choice is up to you.

Glock Magazine Capacity: How Many Bullets Every Glock Holds [2022]

Born and raised in Missouri, Mark currently resides in Murray with his wife and two sons. As a gun owner and hunting enthusiast, he has often participated in debates surrounding the Second Amendment. The Glock 26 is truly many handguns in one. At its core, it's a compact pistol with a larger-than-average magazine capacity. On the other hand, it is a handgun with a magazine capacity of 17 rounds. Finally, it can be a 33 round explosive to extend the ring and range. "Baby Glock" isn't just a runner for concealed carry enthusiasts, it's a good choice for everyone else.

One of the most competitive markets in the handgun world is the subcompact market. Guns with short barrels and short magazines, subcompacts are for those who prefer more carry than firepower and range. The Glock 26, which the company refers to as the "baby Glock," is a compact handgun that can carry a full-size 9-millimeter pistol.

The Glock 26 was released in 1994 and was designed from the start for home security, law enforcement and concealed weapons. The subcompact Glock 26 was followed by the compact Glock 19, which, in turn, is a smaller version of the original Glock 17. Each time, Glock improved its overall design and made it smaller and more suitable for concealed carry and carriers. A special handgun is required.

The comparison between the Glock 17 and the Glock 26 is illustrative. Both are 9-millimeter Luger handguns, and both use the same mechanical action system, known as a "safe action". The company designed three internal gun safeties so that the gun owner had to remove them to fire the weapon. Both have a single 5.5 pound magnetic trigger and one and a half inches of trigger travel. At 1.18 inches, both guns are the same width. All of this is important because it allows new or existing gun owners to carry a larger Glock
